About

We are a coalition of victims, researchers, and advocates united in the fight against mercenary spyware abuse. Our mission is to expose the truth, empower victims, and drive systemic change.

Joan Arús - President & Spokesperson

Presentation of Sentinel Alliance, 29.11.2024

What Drives Us

We believe technology should empower free societies, not control them. Unchecked mercenary spyware threatens their foundation—turning our phones into weapons against civilians.

Joan Arús - President & Spokesperson

Without accountability for these military-grade surveillance tools, the slide toward digital authoritarianism isn't a question of if, but when.

Our Approach

We're not just an organization—we're a coalition of victims, experts, and advocates committed to ending state and corporate surveillance impunity.

By combining lived experience of spyware targeting with strategic litigation, communications expertise, and policy advocacy, we turn personal violations into systemic change. Our work spans three strategic pillars:

Active Defense

We provide immediate support to spyware victims through legal assistance, security resources, and advocacy.

Global Awareness

We work to raise awareness through research, documentation, and public education. By shining a light on these abuses, we build public pressure for change.

Systemic Change

We advocate for policy reforms and legal precedents that will help end spyware impunity through stronger protections.

Founders

Founded by individuals who experienced firsthand the impact of mercenary spyware abuse and legal lawfare, with >100y of combined experience in high impact technology projects.
